Dana Kopel is a writer and editor living in Los Angeles, where she is pursuing a PhD in history at UCLA. Her research focuses on histories of labor and working-class organizing in the United States during the latter part of the twentieth-century. From 2016–2020, she worked as an editor at the New Museum in New York, where she was one of the organizers of the New Museum Union-UAW Local 2110. She subsequently worked as a staff organizer with the Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 153. Kopel has written about art and labor for The Nation, The Baffler, Frieze, SSENSE, and numerous other publications.
